Short Bio:
Dr. Zhong-Ren Peng is Professor of Urban and Regional Planning and Director of iAdapt: International Center for Adaptation Planning and Design, at the College of Design, Construction and Planning, University of Florida. His research focuses on three areas, such as: 1) Sustainable and resilient transportation planning, 2) Adaptation planning for climate change, and 3) Urban planning AI. He has published 172 journal articles, two books, and 10 book chapters across multiple disciplines. Among them, 46 articles are “extremely highly cited,” according to Dimensions Analytics. Based on Google Scholar, his total citation is 9335, h-index 49, i10-index 150, which ranks him as the top 1% of planning scholars in the world. Dr. Peng’s important work in urban planning has earned a great reputation in the global planning community, and he has been frequently invited to give keynote speeches in different conferences, including the renowned European Forum Alpbach, along with Nobel laureates and academicians.
