Dr. Zhongming Shi is a postdoctoral researcher, principal investigator at the Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore. He obtained his Doctor of Sciences degree from ETH Zurich in 2020. He also holds degrees in architecture and urban design from China and United States. Zhongming’s doctoral research was on the topic of energy-driven urban design, which highlights the interdependencies between urban design and energy performance. Currently, he is on the development team of the Cities Knowledge Graph, a multi-domain master-planning support tool, and the City Energy Analyst, an urban building energy simulation tool. He is also leading a research project on building-integrated agriculture in Singapore.
